Re: Wallfishing

Im not an expert on wall fishing but from what I have been told about 2 story wall fish is this. From the attic fish to the second floor wall, make your wall cut out the and pull your cable out. Then take a long 3 or 4 foot flex bit and instert that into the hole you just cut out to drill down to the first floor it is in your best interest to use a bit guide to hold the bit stright up and down so you drill through the stud and not a wall or celling. You can then attach your cable to a glow rod and feed it down to the first floor. Or take your cable and stip back the cable to expose 2-3" of center conductor attach that to a thin metal chain and feed that down the hole you drilled. When you make your cut out on the first floor take a flexable magnet like they use in an auto shop and fish around in the wall for the chain and it will pull the cable right to you. But if you cant feed the cable threw the hole from the second floor you will need to use the glow rods since they flex but are stiff. Once you have your cable fished put your wall plates over both holes and your done. You might have to be creative with your planning. This example is only if the wall you want to fish has a direct route to the attic and is not offset in any way.
