Power companys are becoming more and more aware of that kinda practice from cable companies (just overlash it without permission stuff) and are calling for safety inspections to be preformed on the systems at the cost of the cable company. Re-build or not.
Everyone here know that the cable industry has for too long ignored safety of its employees and contractors for the almighty dollar (crowd power) and now with all the various companies wanting space on the pole (and doing it the correct way with permits) The power companies are finding out just how big a problem CATV has caused over the past 20 years of re-build over re-build. This is fixing to blow up into a huge issue this next year or so. And many of the large name MSO's will be the biggest culprits.........but then I'm preaching to the choir.....all you guys already know what companies make you work unsafe or not work at all. The 40 inches that is required below lowest power is officially named "Communication Workers Safety Zone" Power cares more about your safety than the MSO's do.
But the good news is..........with more and more power companies coming on board to have these kind of inspections done means that cable companies will have to comply or vacate the pole either way means work for the industry.
