there are many problems with the governments getting into the telecommunications industry. the first is that they can supplement the system with tax $$. when will the government stop? next will be gas...then groceries...then guns... then oops that's communism/socialism. i understand the way it looks by the giants lobbying but they are our bread and butter. competition is good for everyone, but let's keep the politicians out of the our communications industry. when was the last time you saw a government agency run anything better for the same amount of money. but if they are going to do it...maybe i could be the secretary of cable tv.........
