Re: Desperate Housewives,

I've expected this since high speed first hit on cable.

First it was napster ect. downloading music from the internet, only a matter of time before video started taking a hit. Music is now legal to download and soon video will be too.

In the not to distant future the cable companies and the bells will be little more than the pipeline to the consumer, with consumers paying subscriptions to programmers or groups of programmers so that they can download whatever they want, whenever they want.

Have heard alot of comment about there not being many large rebuild projects lately. As much as it pains me, a (Cable Dawg) to say this- Coax is going away-OUCH!!!!. As much bandwidth that cable can handle, the maintainance required-Amps ect. is to high and not reliable enough provide service to today's consumers who expect it to work perfect 100% of the time. The next big rebuilds are already starting. FIBER TO THE HOME is where the industry is going. MEGA BANDWIDTH AND LOW MAINTAINANCE.
