First, let me appologize to all the out of work splicers (like myself)
who saw this post and got excited.
But misery loves company. And when I'm sitting around watching my tools rust, I'm pretty damn miserable.
I heard there are towns in Mass, CT, NH that currently are 625mhz, and are to be upgraded to 750mhz (VOIP+ON DEMAND). Comcast plans on starting in January and completing all 31 towns inside the end of the year.
Not a full retro, just mod change outs and tap plate upgrades.
Has anyone else heard any news about this? I know of some primes bidding on this, (Amtek is one) but I'm wondering if there's anyone else got some info. Just wondering if I should extend my insurance or hang it up till somethng solid comes around.
