I am by no means an electrical engineer , but , there is a difference between the 2 . A condenser is used to gather energy , and focus it at a particular point continuosly , while in use . A capacitor is used to store energy to a particular level , and , then , release it immediately . Please be carefull with handling capacitors that have previously been online/energized . They should be discharged properly . They can retain a high energy level for a period of time , even afterthey cease to be energized . The condenser can only cause harm while it is energized . Hope this helps .
