Maybe someone out there can help me with this. I have been paying attention to the monthly job growth reports for awhile and i have a question that i cant find a answer on.
My question is
When the new job created numbers come out for the previous month, do they subtract the jobs lost during that same month?
The reason I am asking is because the unemployment rate has been around 5.5-5.7 or somewhere around there for awhile but why hasnt that number declined with all the new jobs that have been created over the past several months. Is it because the number of jobs lost off-set the new jobs created.
Hope i havent confused anyone. I am just curious
