Re: Happy Veterens Day

We all have those "Support the Troops" ribbons and stickers on our car bumpers so today is a great day to put a deed behind those words. Send a phone card to wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Remember that most soldiers are from poor families and military pay is low. These men and women put their lives on the line and already paid a high price, in many cases permanent disability. The best way for them to recover their spirit is to talk with friends and family back home. Tthe government doesn't provide phone service for wounded troops.

Send phone cards (they say they need an "endless" supply of these -- any amount even $5 is greatly appreciated) to:

Medical Family Assistance Center
Walter Reed Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Building 2, Third Floor, Room 3E01
Washington, DC 20307-5001

This is legit. I searched and found one link here:

It's easy to define what you're willing to fight for; but what are you willing to stand for without fighting? What are you willing to lay down your life for?
