It's not really about how much time you have into the business, it's about what you've done with the opportunity to learn. I've known many linemen in my 21 yrs. in the business, some 3 year guys that are very good at what they do and are eager to learn and do new things and then there are the 10 plus year guys that have attitudes and think they have learned everything there is to know and won't even consider or admit that they don't how to do something, they just go out and screw it up and play dumb or try to shift the fault onto someone else. I've learned to consider all input from the guys I'm working with as we all have varied backgrounds and skills that might come in handy. As far as pride in your work goes that is something you learn as a child and is helped along by having good teachers.
