If A Company Does Not Pay In Tx

I have heard so many things about companies not paying. In 5 years we have only had this happen 2 times and both times are in the last month! We have a dealer who will not pay me. It has been 5 weeks. I got a hold of of him this week and he informed me he will be taking half of the money out of the check to pay some other tech. Is there some kind of legal resource I can take. I have heard of the lien idea, LOVE IT, and the demolition idea, LOVE THIS ONE TOO!, but how do I begin this process and what will it cost me to do this? Thanks!
