As Joe says, keep away from 88 to 108 MHz, but also consider the local off-air broadcasters. Nowadays its all to common to see UHF carriers for local DTV, PBS, etc. blasting their way onto the CATV network. Since they're up there in UHF, they wreak havoc on 400+ MHz channels. I've seen it backfeeding from drops onto the feeder, wrecking our QAM signal downstream.
Try to avoid these for your data carrier.
