Man I feel for you, I know they had to cut that out. That piece of bone (the stinger) has barbs like a fish hook. I've killed many a sting ray, I let skates live, but not rays. I'm from the ocean,don't care to live with out it. I was in high school about 1973, getting ready to go out in the boat at night floundering, when a boat pulled up to the boat ramp with a guy screaming. I cranked up my hot rod,and smoked um down, I bet the man thought he was riding in a sling shot. The hospital was ony a few blocks away, I didn't worry about the law I was a Junior fireman. (AT that time it was an open ticket to drive like Earnhardt) I to this day have not forgotton the blood curdling screams coming from that mans mouth. I feel for you man. "WHITFIELD"
