I do driveways and sidewalks all day, usually not drops, just hardline and fiber. I dig two small trenches, one on each side, drop in the missile, and go. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the average driveway, and about 5 to 10 minutes for the average sidewalk, depending on soil conditions.
Take a few minutes to fill in the trenches, 6 bucks worth of sod, and no one even knows you were there. But if you don't want to invest in the equipment, their are many other ways to do it.
