Guys I just wanted to send a quick note from your northern cable buddy. The same thing is happening to the cable indusrty up here in Canada. The main player is Rogers and they are telling the primes that this is the $$ amountwe are paying for the job, so you should be paying your employees this amount and this is how long they should work. They give a deadline, then not allow you to work for so many days out of the week but not adjust the deadline. There are too many things being done on the MSO side that seems illegal but who is going to question the big guy. I have been in the cable industry for 12 years now and it has been going down hill here for about 4 years now. I am to the point where I am now looking at doing something else. Just don't like the fact of having to start over. 12 years experience down the **** drain. Now I have to compete with resent grads with no experience that are willing to work for peanuts. This is a great job but industry is F****d.
Stay strong and good luck.
