To start a new discussion (as opposed to replying to another) use the Post New Discussion link in the Navigate menu.
In answer to your question, you made an ad but didn't order it. Use the Check-out link in the Navigate menu to order. For more help, the ad form used to make the ad has step-by-step instructions or call the office on Monday.
