I've seen both NCC and CableComm doing the Verizon project in MD. They're both subbing off of the prime whose name I forgot. In general, they're deploying two-2" ducts, 24x36 vaults with with 36" monument dome attachments. This is just the network deployment. I haven't seen any of the laterals yet.
There's been a sighting in NoVA too of this type of activity.
From my perspective - Bring it on Verizon! It'll force us MSO's to step up the customer care quality; respond quicker to both service and installation needs, and overall put the customer's needs right at the forefront. The churn will just raise the current state of high anxiety amongst the people blocking the leaks in those dykes.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong. <DM>
