I work the headend for a FTTP triple play in Lewiston/Auburn Maine. We are overbuilding both Verizon and Adelphia. Turned up our first customer in January. Experiencing great response from the communities. Folks are really excited to have choices other than the incumbants. Is cable dead? Nah... there are quite a few communities where independent ip video outfits like us are taking a slice out of the video pie, but I don't see cable companies rolling over and playing dead.
