I am pretty sure the only advantage the 1750 has is, it can communicate with an LST 1700 and perform the FDR and remote sweep functions. FDR - Frequency Domain Reflectometry, in a nutshell is the same function as a TDR but is intended to be a HWTK - Home Wiring Test Kit that is offered by Acterna. That kit is meant to test RG-6 cable but can be adapted to various cables including hardline coax by adjusting the loss and VOP.
