Hey, how's it going over there? I was supposed to go over there, 3 years ago.

When a minimum bend radius is exceeded it now becomes a macro bend, which is your minimum bend radius, 20 x diameter of the cable multiplied by 2. Therefore, 2R = D.

Micro Bend - the loss in signal power caused by small bends or kinks perpendicular to the fiber.

Macro Bend - cable being bent in too tight a radius causing interference in the signal.

Cable Past the Minimum Bend Radius - (3 to 5 feet ) 2 1/2" to 5" fiber hair.
