I use an extention cord that was self retracting you can get at your local home depot, and cut out the cord and placed RG-6 in it for my test lead Real handy for test leads during retro to check picture, and it reals up real nice. This might or might not work for you... It might not wind back up every time on its own with the river levels but it will sure pull out pretty. Just a thought. You might even put messenger 6 in something like this and anchor the messenger at each end to take any and all strain off the fitting..... Just brain stormin' for ya..... Good luck.
