Re: help with 870 S/A inputs

Here are the station gains for the gainmaker amplifier line
HGD + 40 dB forward station gain
HGBT= 38 dB forward station gain
UBT + 31 dB on the main and 40 on the aux
L/E + 37 dB manual, 32 dB thermal, 31 dB AGC
The inputs are usualy the desired output at the high system frequency - the amplifier gain EX. 49 dBmV at ch 134
49 - 40 +9 pad input to 9 dB. ALWAYS check witth system engineering for your specification. Alo Scientific atlanta does not reccomend changing trhe interstage padding. nor do you change output pads. You simply change input pad to get correct output level. The AGC referance level is 34 @pilot frequency for HGD and HGBT modules and 26 for a UBT and 29 for a L/E

The reverse station gain for all Gainmaker amplifiers is 19.5 dB port to port. it is suggested that you match the loss of the signal director with a reverse input pad on HGD's only an example DC 12 use a 12 /1 pad, for a DC 8 use an 8/2, 2way 4/4. This is the proper way to balance the Gainmaker gear if you have any questions please feel free to message me. What site do you work at?(snipper)
