If you read my previous answer on QR cable, you'll see that I mentioned this problem. This problem on removing the GLUE of the centre conductor has been a problem with QR cable for ever. Course the same problem is withP-III cable also but it seems not as bad. The main reason for having to remove the Glue on the centre conductor for QR cable is due to the amount (thickness) of aluminium that is around the foam. By using less aluminium CommScope can produce QR cable cheaper and by doing this it cause two problem in the field, you already saw one problem with the glue around the centre conductor, the other one is the DC high draw of cable again cause by the small amount of aluminium on the outside of the cable. One more problem you have to be aware of with QR cable is you cannot buy QR cable bare (just aluminium cover), this cable is always cover with PCV and if you hit the QR cable hard with a ladder or any other thing, the PVC come back to his roundness again, but the aluminum under neat does not and if the cable is hit often around the same area you'll get suck out while you are doing sweep.
