Buddy , I just read all the other ' information ' in the other responses to your question and they did not answer your question correctly. We had the exact same problem on a job for RCN in Philly , and it turned out that some wingnut stupid lazy Splicers were not tightening the fittings backnuts tight enough. The fitting gets a proper ground on the outside of the shield , not the inside , therefore you do not have to worry about the thin film of dielectric on the inside of the shield. If anyone tells you different , tell them that they are nuts. Jim
