we received a form from Adelphia's NYC attorneys telling us to sign so that Adelphia can sue us for the money they paid us 90 days prior to their claiming bankruptcy. Adelphia had until june 4 2004 to serve everyone they paid so that they can get their money back to redistribute it evenly amongst all of their creditors. we were told that if we dont sign the form, that they will sue us instantly. but if we sign, we can bargin with them. they say this is all under federal law and that they can do this even though they still owe us money. i am still in shock and have forwarded the paperwork to our attorney who says, yes they can do this. so for all of your own sakes, avoid signing for any federal express until after june 4 when the statute of limitations runs out and then they cant do ****. i wish i had known.
