Re: grounding an arial system


My not being familiar with the Power terminology you use, I went through a whole long, drawn out explaination on how to do a proper Power Bond and Continuity Bond.    Ole Harlan just filled me in on what a "Hydro Ground" is.

From what I've just been told, from a performance point of view, it's 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.
From a Lineman's safety point of view, it better to bond from the strand to the vertical so as not to leave the sharp ends of the strand exposed to slice a Hooks arm open.
