2004 Team Summit: DISH Dealers Assemble in Dallas

Jay Leno, Joe Clayton, Charles W. Ergen to Make Appearances

EchoStar said its 2004 Team Summit satellite TV retailer conference is sold out, with 2,200 DISH Network retailers from across the nation gathering in Dallas May 20 - 22.

Special attractions include Jay Leno, entertainer and host of the Tonight Show, motivational speaker Mike Krzyzewski, the three-time champion basketball coach of Duke University's Blue Devils, and Grammy Award winning country music star Vince Gill.

The seventh annual Team Summit conference features EchoStar CEO and Chairman Charles Ergen sharing his vision on the future of satellite TV. Keynote speaker Joseph P. Clayton, president and CEO of Sirius Satellite Radio, will reveal rollout plans for the EchoStar-Sirius entertainment alliance. Also, a panel of industry executives will provide a roadmap to the future of high-definition TV. The three-day conference, which educates retailers about DISH Network satellite TV equipment and services, will enhance the ability of DISH Network retailers to serve their communities in offering a true alternative to rising cable TV rates.

"DISH Network's Team Summit has been overwhelmed by demand from our retailers who distribute satellite TV service and hardware through a U.S. network of more than 20,000 locations," said Jim DeFranco, EchoStar's co-founder and executive vice president.

Held at the Dallas Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, the Team Summit Tech Expo will display consumer electronics products and marketing services from 120 vendors from across the nation. The conference also features training sessions on topics such as high definition TV, digital video recording, satellite radio sales, service and installation, and commercial TV sales opportunities.

Major event sponsors include ABC Cable Networks, ESPN, Home Box Office, MTV Networks, NAGRASTAR, Sirius Satellite Radio, Starz Encore Group, The Weather Channel, and Turner Broadcasting System.
