Founded in 1990, CTAM Texas is a chapter of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing — the most powerful and up-to-date management and marketing society in the industry. Goals of the Texas chapter include enhancing professional development while reaching out to new players in the telecommunications industry.
CTAM Texas has built a reputation for hosting exciting, dynamic that attract industry professionals from across the country. These high quality educational events are known for their timeliness, content and value. They are designed to bridge the gap between marketing and technology.
Special examples of what CTAM Texas does are the CTAM Texas Pinnacle Award and Scholarship Program. The former was created in 1999 to recognize hometown heroes. The first Pinnacle Award was awarded to Dick Barron for the historic difference he has made in the Texas cable and telecommunications landscape. The latter, the, is designed to recognize and award individuals who may not have the ability to earn an academic scholarship but have the potential to be accepted at a college or university.
