Special Report: DirecTV to Support Prime TV Customers, Installers

Provider Compensates Directly for Installs, Activations

As first reported by SkyRETAILER.com this week, DirecTV ended its business relationship with Prime TV on March 29. In a letter to its installers, DirecTV noted that customers who purchased systems through Prime TV had not yet been installed and are not being supported by Prime TV.

The DBS provider has set up a system that will help these customers by compensating technicians directly for installing and activating their DirecTV system equipment. According to the letter, participating installers will earn $100 per one-room standard professional installation, $125 per two-room standard professional installation, and $165 per three-room standard professional installation

To qualify, installations must be performed and the customer activated between March 29 and April 29. Payment claims must be submitted by May 29. Installers can submit their claims via e-mail to (-REDACTED-) .

If installers have any questions, please contact DirecTV retail services at 1-800-323-1994, or via e-mail at (-REDACTED-) .
