I saw a commercial the other day that showed a product that could be plugged into a wall outlet and have the cabability of using your power lines inside the home as an ethernet for networking. Much the same as those devices that allow phone jacks to be installed the same way. I havent heard of power companies offering internet service other than a few municiplities such as Taunton Mass that over-built a fiber backbone in that town or a few towns by SNET in Connecticut.
