That's a greta idea. Unfortunately there will always be primes who will take the peanuts and hire a bunch of monkeys. If it were possible to do a large scale "bite me, I'm not doing it" it would be nice. But all it takes is one greedy company to hire a bunch of green guys and pay them just over minimum wage while they laugh at all the real cable guys who aren't working.
That is basically what has been happening over the past few years bringing us to the point we are at now.
