The step from Sub to Prime is a big one but not all that difficult.
Announce your intentions by advertising your services. Do this by by networking with people you already know inside Cable Companies. You will be pleasantly surprised how far some insiders who trust you and know your quality work may go to get you started or recommend you elsewhere. General advertising is not as effective but it can get results over time so budget that for later.
Most likely places you will find work in the beginning are in places nobody wants, such as far flung rural markets or ghettos but you never know, you might get lucky.
Have a source of financing already set up. If you don't have a lot of credit, check around for Factoring Companies. Some advertise here and many are elsewhere on the internet or even the yellow pages. Without financing, you will not be able to meet payroll or expenses or expand.
Congradulations on your new adventure. You will learn much about independence and responsibility.
