$237.00 for a background check? Regardless of the validity of the company or any of the other theories here. Someone is making a sweet little profit on those checks. Less than a decade ago I was paying $25.00 and $50.00 dollars for backgrounds on potential employees (not a cable job) $25 was for a basic and $50 was the full check that I used for those in sensitive positions. Unless they are doing a lot more than checking criminal and credit history I can't see those prices being fair.
