actually the cable prewired into the mdu belongs to the owner not comcast. have the owner contact comcast and demand a temporary key. once a home whether it is sdu or mdu is wired the cable materials belong to the homeowner. this is true with all wiring. the only thing comcast has ownership to is on the cable side of the groundblock/tap. if there were 2 cable companies in the mdu, this is law provided in the deregulation act. they do not have to provide access to their equipment....but the prewire/postwire is not their equipment once it is installed on the building unless owner has signed an exclusive contract.
