back to basics,, fiber is plumbing,, its inert, if water and temp affected glass that bad, all your windows would fall out every winter, have seen vault closers totally encased in ice, inside too,, run fine, if you have the old siecor bare fiber splice trays, good luck,, if they were put together poorly, just taking the lid off compromses the whole tray
