What you want to do is translate a companies piece rate price into a footage price. Grab a couple of random maps from the jobsite and calculate the total money that you would earn with their piece rate price. Then add up the total footage and divide it into the total dollar amount you earned with the piece rate. If the footage price you figure out is'nt decent, then I would suggest that you run as fast as you can away from that job. I have not yet seen a piece rate job that was worth working on. The only exception is if the job is in the inner city with 50 ft. spans or less between every single piece. Take care , Jim
