I am now an sat installer, and I came from cable. While I was in-between jobs after a knee surgery we moved. A cable installer came to my house that I had just wired to be nice like anyone else. Told me that my fittings which were sterlings were outdated and needed to be replaced and that my cable lines also needed to be replaced. He pulled up the drop I buried to the pedistal and replaced it. He tried charging me for all of this work because, he had to do a full install and the work order only was quoted for an reconnect. It has nothing to do with cable installers or satellite installers I have done both. It is the person not the profession
