I have been looking into BPL as a new market . The market potential is very large. Here are some things I know about your typical power operation.

The power company is a 100% penetrated guarentee rate of return operation. Entrepreneur is not part of their vocabulary.
They will want contractors with deep pockets and great reputations. The typical power employee is most concerned about his approaching annuity check. He or she never takes chances
with gear or contractors. Rusted pick-up contractors need not apply to big power.

Power companies do not quibble over price. Too low of a price for equipment or contract labor makes the employee for life nervous.

We can all tackle this market if we keep the above in mind.
