Re: electric ground rod pounder??

Depending upon the soil conditions you run in to, you may want to take this advice from somebody who recently wasted a great deal of time finding the perfect setup. I went to a shop that told me that the Bosch rotohammer was the best, and would knock the grounds in without any problems. I purchased one new, took it out and the sorry assed thing took forever to get a rod in. I went back and told them that this simply would not cut the mustard, and walked out with a Bosch Brute. This is a huge sixty pound electric jackhammer and was very pricey, but boy does it do the job. So depending on your dirt, you may need something as tenacious as this unit. Hope this helps you keep from wasting your time with ineffective solutions.
