As a splicer, primarily underground, I have watched so many different crews do different things to solve whatever problems got in their way while pulling through conduit. It is so cool watching the little tricks you guys have using common stuff. Aside from learning a few things I was quite entertained.
Within my first month on the job I was waiting for a crew to pull a new piece of .625 for me and was roaming around trying to find a vault. One of the guys told me to stand back, Blew air through the pipe at his end and sent the vault cover flying up. It was pretty easy to find at that point. It was definitely worth buying the coffee that day.
