Re: underground info/education

1. Think about a rock saw if your area has hard soil/rock.
2. Directional drills are very $$$ and can do alot of things with only two pits that the home owners will see. Is your customer willing to pay to keep their public that happy. A lot less soil is disturbed on the surface.
3. High capacity Heavy duty air compressor with 200 foot of hose a couple of jack hammers , a mole , and a tamper tool
4. Most importantly someone you trust to do your repair and service work. You and your crews will work all day waring out or breaking the equipment. You need someone who can bring the euipment back to life at a resonalbe cost and in a quick time frame.
5. If you have an established relationship with your customer Do a job or two on a trail basis where you try renting equipment in order to see if you like the type of unit, its ease of operation and cost to run. Good teeth on rock saws and trenchers are a big chunk of change that a lot of people forget about. This will allow you to fine tune your price sheet before you sign a contract for a big project or an annual R & M agreement.
6. Factory service in your area. Is it available for the equipment you wish to use?
