It's true that it can be very frustrating waiting for the lag time of pay from an MSO, going thru corperate, resending lost invoices, etc... But the flip side is working for a contractor 2-3 steps down from the prime where you encounter several hands in the cookie jar. You are lucky if you get 50% of the prime's rate. As well as the fact that you loose the ability to ensure timelimes, QC the work to ensure quality and it never fails someone ends up with the gravy work that was promised on the front end of the project. And you still go thru the frustration of maybe not getting paid on time....if ever. I'll take the slow pay anyday over having someone else maintain responsibility for the project. Just my thoughts.....
