Re: Info on Amerilink

In 2000 Tandy Corp. bought Amierilink, thats when they had
to give up most or all their hardlline Cable Contracts where
they operated under the name Amerilink d.b.a Nacom, due to
a conflict of interest, because Tandy (Radio Shack) wanted
to use Amerilink as their DSS Dish Installation Company. They
usually hire you as Sub Contractors and their piece rate "is low"
compared to other's. To be a Sub Contractor, you need to
know the legallity's and differences between Employee and
Sub Contractor. You can refer to the IRS Publication SS-8
Booklet, this booklet expain's it and help's you determine if
in fact you are a Employee or Sub Contractor and also help's
you make sure the company you are Sub Contracting with
stay's within the law's and regulation's. all too often
company's like Ameilink d.b.a. Nacom can, will, and do abuse
the situation in their favor and you get the royal shaft. I know
because I worked with them as a Sub Contractor for five year's,
from 95 to 2000. Ive been in cable since 1988 and I never had
to watch my own back so intensly as I had to do when I was
with Amerilink. Not to mention the uotrageous ego's that fly
around in the lower to middle management. If you do go to
work for them all I can say is, "GOOD LUCK"(puke)(barf)(scary)
