Does anyone have any advise about going to a collection agency to collect on a past due debt? I am a ligitimate company owner, although small, and I never plan on working for this particular contractor ever again. I don't like to bring bad credit to anyone, but then again, how else can I claim the loss on my taxes if I haven't used all avenues available to collect? Its a terrible situation to be in......but the amount is substantial, at least to our small business.
