You shouldn't think the grass is any greener going in house. This happens every few years, like a pendulum that swings back and forth. The bottom line is that contractors are less expensive and actually better than in house MSO technicians. (I've seen the surveys.)
I've heard about Houston. Are there any nationwide contracting companies down there? What's the pay like? I remember a few years back before TCI and Warner merged. Rumor had it the TCI guys took kickbacks left and right. Sounds like its still going on down there. Oh well.
