I got into the CATV biz in '92...I try to learn all I can and do top nocth work.....brought that attitude with to tha sat biz..now the hacks r there also..but, when it was slow here decided to do some contract work on the charter system and would you beleive I got gigged gor putting service loops at the midspan and house!!! hmmm, it is not just hacks in the feild but also in management now. Also got gigged for tacking an outlet line 12" above the grass line ( Trying to prevent weed eater issues) was told that is not how they do it...sheesh, got right back out of CATV after that. Luckily now I have been givin an opp in the sat biz to run things and train a few people on how it should be done...no matter which end you are in keep pride in your work and at least you will know you did your best despite the idiots in the biz...To everyone, good luck in your endevors and may the money tree fall in your yard one day.
