Re: aerial prices


In 1999 after 21 yrs. as aerial contractor and sub crontractor I realised the prices had returned to 1978 average and had to pack it in. In 1978 there was no workman comp. requried in most places and $500,000 general liab. cost about $1,000.00 per yr. Gas was .60 per gal. and motels run about $60.00 to $100.00 per wk. It got to the point where quality no longer mattered. If you did drugs with the 20 yr. old job supervisor with 6 months experiance you could get all the gravey running. I kinda miss the old days but the new cable way just don't fit.
