High pass filters, if a system is looking to provide the best quality of customer service and best product they will provide the best quality of plant, maintain the quality and integrity of there system with a good CLI program and keep up there plant and there drops. Unfortunately in today's competitive market system operators are looking to cut cost for service and maintenance as well as materials. It is much more cost effective to filter drops and upgrade and maintain the ones that use cable modems and 2 way services. than it is to maintain every drop in the system.
