learn function 6 and function 2 hehe no i was being sarcastic. theres just allot of sweep techs that dont know much else.
in my opinion you should have been from installs to maintanance and splicing then to ingress suppression and with some type of formal training along with years of experience to boot to back up the skills needed to troubleshoot, repair, design, balance, optimize a multitude of various types of equipment without the need of somebody to hold your hand. some good math skills along with the knowledge of design losses of a large amount of different cables as well as passives and actives. and the ability to read schematics maps etc. a few years of head end experience would help to be able to set up all the equipment in a head end
just a few things. but most just learn the meter and roll
