Re: feed thru connectors used in reverse system


The feed through connectors will have to be changed out. What happens is that the SOFT COPPER CLAD center conductor of the cable will through expansion and contraction, push and pull back and forth across the tip of the siezure screw and will cause a small indentation in the SOFT center conductor. If there is any current traveling on the center conductor either from 60volts AC or transient current from surges and stricks, a black film of corrosion will occur and create CPD and actual low frequency suck-outs.

Pull a couple of connectors a part and look at the indentation of the "c" screw, if it's black you've seen the reverse problem from hell. Any other question on this or other plant stuff just repsond and I will give you my email address.
