You just answered your own question. If the port has no rf output then rf in would not pose any problems as it has no path in node. What may cause problem would be the prior amp you are feeding power from. It would see that as an unterminated line and could cause issues on any one on that particular feed.  Best way is a PI with rf side terminated and any problem would not be created.
